Maintenance Technician, HVAC & Industrial Systems
Overview
Own preventative maintenance and repairs for plant equipment across three locations in the valley, ensuring safe, compliant operation. Work within the Preventive Maintenance System to maintain 70,000 sq ft shop floor cleanliness and water treatment systems. Collaborate with the Sr. Maintenance Tech and supervisor on upgrades and projects. This role stands out through hands-on aerospace and heavy industrial exposure and requiring strong diagnostic tooling skills.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime
- 2Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace components using specialized diagnostic tools
- 3Install HVAC systems according to blueprints and building specifications, ensuring code compliance
- 4Maintain water treatment and hazardous waste handling per EPA requirements, including packaging, storage, and manifesting
- 5Keep shop floor clean and maintained, cleaning filters, coils, and ducts, and operate Tennant Floor Scrubber monthly
- 6Assist with facilities maintenance and Repairs at multiple locations
- 7Coordinate with HS&E to schedule hazardous waste shipments within EPA limits
- 8Support Sr. Maintenance Tech on projects and tasks as assigned
- 9Perform routine inspections and identify unsafe conditions for escalation
- 10Operate and read technical manuals and drawings to execute maintenance tasks
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2HVAC Certification
- 32-5 years performing HVAC services and repairs in aerospace, heat treating, or heavy industrial environments
- 42-5 years hands-on maintenance experience with vacuum and/or gas-fired industrial furnaces
- 5Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform under adverse conditions
