Maintenance Technician, Aerospace Manufacturing & EPA Compliance
Overview
Maintenance Technician owns plant upkeep at TurbineAero with a focus on preventative maintenance, water treatment, and hazardous waste handling across a 70,000 sq ft shop. You will work onsite in Phoenix, collaborating with the Sr. Maintenance Tech and supervisor on projects. This role combines hands-on maintenance with environmental, health, and safety responsibilities that help keep operations compliant and productive.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform general maintenance on building and offices and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
- 2Operate and maintain the water treatment system ensuring continuous operation
- 3Manage shop hazardous waste packaging, onsite storage, and manifesting per EPA requirements
- 4Coordinate hazardous waste shipments within EPA time limits with the HS&E representative
- 5Ensure the shop floor is cleaned monthly using Tennant Floor Scrubber
- 6Identify unsafe conditions and report to the Director of Maintenance
- 7Assist in elevation of maintenance tasks under supervision
- 8Drive to three locations in the valley as needed
- 9Read technical manuals and drawings to troubleshoot systems
- 10Work under minimal supervision on basic and preventative maintenance tasks
Requirements10
- 1Five years of job related experience
- 2Must lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work under adverse conditions
- 3Must possess or secure proper hand tools
- 4Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- 5Experience using hand and electrical tools
- 6Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- 7Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- 8Physical stamina and dexterity
- 9Valid driver`s license & proof of insurance
- 10Willingness to travel 25%
