What You'll Do11
- 1Meet and greet subcontractors vendors and visitors as they arrive onsite and provide a professional customer focused experience
- 2Escort contractors and vendors throughout the facility while they perform service or repair work ensuring they remain in authorized areas
- 3Verify work permits and act as a liaison between onsite personnel and maintenance teams to support clear communication
- 4Ensure contractors and vendors wear proper personal protective equipment PPE and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- 5Maintain a constant safety awareness and proactively identify and report incorrect PPE usage or unsafe conditions
- 6Provide hands-on assistance to maintenance teams in various departments working alongside senior technicians and maintenance staff
- 7Support technicians by holding tools turning wrenches assisting with basic repairs and participating in troubleshooting activities under direction
- 8Retrieve parts tools and supplies from tool rooms or parts storage areas to keep maintenance work flowing efficiently
- 9Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping and cleaning work areas to maintain a neat and orderly shop environment
- 10Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly in accordance with facility and environmental health and safety procedures
- 11Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment at all times following standard operating procedures
Requirements11
- 1At least 3 months of experience in an industrial setting or completion of a technical degree in a trade from a school
- 2Strong customer service mindset with the ability to confidently talk to new people and interact with contractors and visitors throughout the day
- 3Comfort working in a maintenance or industrial environment and willingness to perform hands-on physical work
- 4Basic mechanical aptitude with familiarity or interest in learning how to use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks
- 5Ability to follow directions and work effectively alongside experienced technicians and maintenance personnel
- 6Basic computer skills to support simple documentation and permit verification tasks
- 7Ability to verify work permits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- 8Strong safety awareness including the ability to identify incorrect PPE usage and potential safety hazards
- 9Capacity to walk stand bend and lift as required throughout the shift including walking approximately 10000 steps per day
- 10Reliable attendance and punctuality with a consistent commitment to being present and prepared for work
- 11Presentable and articulate communication skills suitable for greeting and touring subcontractors and vendors onsite
