Maintenance Technician - Barton Creek Villas
Overview
Full time onsite position at Barton Creek Villas in Austin Texas managed by Greystar. Responsible for technical and mechanical work ensuring property standards for cleanliness appearance safety and functionality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Complete assigned work orders and perform preventative maintenance diagnosing defects and executing repairs per policies and codes.
- 2Conduct make-ready process preparing vacant apartments by creating punch lists scheduling vendors and inspecting completed work.
- 3Follow procedures for accessing materials tracking inventory and returning unused items to establish locations.
- 4Document service requests accurately to support tracking and resolution.
- 5Assist in maintaining grounds common areas and amenities through trash pickup pressure washing and painting curbs and signage.
- 6Support cost-cutting initiatives by fixing parts avoiding waste and using proper tool application.
- 7Comply with safety policies attending meetings completing OSHA training and reporting incidents promptly.
- 8Periodically inspect contractor work verifying quality standards and communicating property concerns to management.
- 9Participate in routine and periodic inspections identifying safety risks and communicating physical needs to management.
- 10Perform other duties as assigned including occasional travel and flexibility for call schedules.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma GED or related experience and/or training with 2 years minimum property management maintenance building maintenance or related trade experience.
- 2Certifications such as EPA Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling and state/local required certifications.
- 3Valid driver’s license for golf cart operation where applicable.
- 4Ability to stand walk sit bend stoop climb ladders reach carry and crawl in confined spaces.
- 5Flexibility to work inside outside all weather conditions and handle heavy lifting over 50 pounds with assistance.
- 6Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays.
