What You'll Do10

  • 1Own all day-to-day maintenance, fiscal, and administrative functions for the station maintenance department, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • 2Lead and direct plant maintenance supervisors, IC&E/technical supervisors, and the planning department, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and teamwork.
  • 3Build and manage the annual maintenance budget, monitoring expenditures and optimizing cost-effective resource allocation.
  • 4Enforce safety and environmental programs to maintain full regulatory compliance across all job sites, including the ULSD Tank Farm.
  • 5Drive work management best practices via EAM and partner with Planning and Scheduling to provide accurate work management reports.
  • 6Assign maintenance analysis processes, monitor effectiveness, and manage resource estimates for optimal utilization.
  • 7Perform field inspections of job sites and work in progress, proactively addressing issues to ensure quality execution.
  • 8Manage multiple concurrent outages while planning future outages, coordinating schedules with Engineering, Plant Management, Operations, and Commercial Operations.
  • 9Track work plans, schedules, and costs for all outages and major maintenance events, coordinating craft labor and contractors to optimize productivity.
  • 10Monitor outage KPIs and conduct post-outage lessons learned reviews, incorporating findings into future outage preparations.

Requirements9

  • 110+ years of experience in power plant operations or maintenance.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent technical training and hands-on experience.
  • 3In-depth knowledge of conventionally fired steam technologies, power boilers, steam turbines, generators, electronic controls, and monitoring devices.
  • 4Demonstrated managerial and supervisory leadership in a utility or power generation facility.
  • 5Experience managing digital maintenance programs for asset management (EAM/CMMS).
  • 6Knowledge of human resources principles and experience working with collective bargaining agreements (preferred).
  • 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and personal computer software.
  • 8Effective communication and analytical skills, with the ability to meet strict operational deadlines.
  • 9Current, valid driver's license and physical capability to perform field inspections and lift up to 50 pounds.
