Overview

The O&M Manager leads a team to operate and maintain a simple cycle facility. This role provides leadership to Operations and Maintenance Technicians and a Plant Administrator. The manager reports directly to the Vice President Thermal Operations. This position ensures compliance with laws and business practices while managing budgets and safety protocols.

What You'll Do12

  • 3Direct activity to ensure compliance with laws and power sales agreements
  • 4Develop annual O&M and capital budgets while managing expenditures within approved plans
  • 5Manage safety and emergency preparedness including medical fire and hazardous material responses
  • 6Ensure environmental regulation compliance and coordinate plant protective systems with FERC/NERC requirements
  • 7Interface with contractors to schedule testing inspections and maintenance
  • 8Manage EAM and spare part procurement for optimal inventory
  • 9Optimize equipment performance through maintenance planning and procedures
  • 10Administer training programs for employee skill development
  • 11Serve as primary community representative and participate in civic activities
  • 12Maintain career development opportunities for staff

Requirements9

  • 1Minimum of 5 years experience in power generation with knowledge of combustion turbines and auxiliaries
  • 2Above average computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • 3Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • 4High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • 6Prior small-team leadership experience at manager level
  • 7Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 8Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • 9Commitment to safety-sensitive operations
