Thermal Development Manager Invenergy LLC
Overview
The Manager of Thermal Development leads development of greenfield and brownfield combustion turbine and combined cycle projects including carbon capture across RTOs in the United States. This role supports Origination of PPA and Build Transfer opportunities while evaluating dispatchable thermal power generation technologies utilizing natural gas or fuel oil. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering regulatory teams to drive project success and represents Invenergy in stakeholder engagements.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop multiple projects supporting Origination of PPA and Build Transfer opportunities
- 2Evaluate dispatchable thermal power generation technologies for market needs
- 3Conduct market entry analysis site evaluation and permit acquisition
- 4Manage economic model development and financial evaluation processes
- 5Collaborate with Engineering to determine optimal technology selection
- 6Create and manage project development budgets and capital cost estimates
- 7Report and execute project management throughout development lifecycle
- 8Work with Regulatory team to analyze market drivers and target critical markets
- 9Partner with Commercial Analytics team for system sizing and operational requirements
- 10Represent Invenergy with customers state and local officials industry associations and stakeholders
- 11Lead project development activities with local communities
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- 26+ years of experience in similar role and industry
- 3Familiarity with utility-scale project development thermal energy production development
- 4Valid driver’s license ability to travel up to 25 percent of time
- 5Strong organizational networking leadership and time management skills
- 6Willingness to participate in community development activities
Salary Insight
$118 - $155k per year
