Multi-Craft Maintenance Supervisor, Manufacturing
Overview
Lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all electrical, mechanical, and automated systems at a large manufacturing plant. You will own equipment uptime, drive continuous improvement, and implement automation solutions. Your team handles both mechanical and electrical infrastructure, from pumps and conveyors to PLCs and robotics. Reporting to the plant leadership, you will partner with reliability and operations teams to integrate CMMS data and RCM principles into daily maintenance. What You'll Do10
- 1Champion a safety-first culture, enforcing NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- 2Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled maintenance team, focusing on technical growth and accountability.
- 3Diagnose and resolve complex issues in PLC logic, HMI applications, and automation networks, minimizing downtime.
- 4Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, using CMMS to track and document work orders accurately.
- 5Coordinate major mechanical repairs, overhauls, and equipment rebuilds to restore production quickly.
- 6Manage plant electrical systems, including high, medium, and low voltage distribution and MCCs.
- 7Drive continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and Lean to boost equipment uptime and cut costs.
- 8Evaluate and implement new automation technologies, including robotics and servo systems.
- 9Partner with procurement to ensure critical spare parts are available and within budget.
- 10Lead troubleshooting of automated systems, including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens TIA Portal, and Wonderware SCADA.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably in continuous processes.
- 25+ years of combined electrical, mechanical, and automation experience.
- 31+ years of leadership experience, with proven ability to influence and develop teams.
- 4Advanced knowledge of CMMS and inventory management software.
- 5Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- 6Strong troubleshooting skills with PLC logic, HMI applications, and automation networks.
- 7Experience with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and industrial control standards.
- 8Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques for electrical and automation equipment.
- 9Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
- 10High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or Mechatronics preferred.
