What You'll Do11
- 1Lead board watch activities to monitor plant parameters and coordinate unit dispatch
- 2Perform routine site inspections and maintain detailed control center logs
- 3Execute proper lockout tagout procedures as directed by safety protocols
- 4Collaborate with maintenance teams to address operational issues
- 5Train new operators on equipment functionality and safety procedures
- 6Conduct water chemistry sampling and analysis for plant health
- 7Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily operations and equipment adjustments
- 8Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical system failures
- 9Ensure compliance with all federal and state environmental regulations
- 10Develop and deliver training programs for junior staff members
- 11Coordinate with vendors to schedule and execute preventive maintenance
Requirements11
- 1Valid driver’s license and ability to meet one hour travel requirement
- 2Three years direct experience as a journeyman power station operator
- 3Completion of Edison Electrical Institute MASS and POSS tests at I&C level
- 4Proven knowledge of thermodynamics and power generation principles
- 5Experience with Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbines and associated control systems
- 6Familiarity with distributed control systems and instrumentation equipment
- 7Ability to perform water chemistry sampling and calibration tasks
- 8Strong analytical skills for diagnosing equipment performance issues
- 9Commitment to safety culture and regulatory compliance
- 10Excellent communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
- 11Physical fitness to meet weight restrictions and operate heavy machinery
