Machinist, Manual & CNC Programming in Indianapolis
Overview
CNC and manual machining expert will own precision production at scale within a onsite Indianapolis team. You will operate, program, and maintain mills, lathes, Swiss machines, and other equipment to meet exact specifications. You will collaborate with a skilled shop crew to drive quality improvements and ensure on time delivery. This role offers hands on work, room to grow, and a strong emphasis on safety and craftsmanship.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and run CNC and manual machinery to produce precision parts
- 2Design and program CNC programs for mills, lathes, and Swiss machines to specification
- 3Inspect finished components and drive quality through measurement and documentation
- 4Operate and maintain a state of the art machine shop with a focus on safety and uptime
- 5Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot tooling, fixturing, and process optimization
- 6Adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency
- 7Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and scrap
- 8Scale production while meeting schedule commitments and quality targets
- 9Document processes and contribute to standard work and training materials
Requirements5
- 1Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC and manual machining
- 2Proficiency operating and programming mills, lathes, and Swiss machines
- 3Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
- 4Willingness to work onsite in Indianapolis, IN
- 5Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
