Machine Operator, 2nd Shift at Gorbel
Overview
Own the second shift manufacturing process for cutting and drilling steel and aluminum components at scale. Youll operate saws, drills, and overhead cranes to move material and prepare parts for the next operation. Youll document work to meet specs and participate in setup, inspection, and material handling tasks. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and hands on machining in a dynamic production environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Follow job orders to specifications to produce components
- 2Cut steel material utilizing a variety of industrial saws
- 3Measure and layout according to blueprint utilizing drill presses and automated drilling machines
- 4Set up, operate, and maintain machines to meet production demands
- 5Inspect and document work to verify specifications
- 6Assist in loading and unloading raw materials of various weights and lengths
- 7Operate forklift, pallet jacks, overhead cranes and fall arrest system
- 8Adhere to safety guidelines and site policies during all tasks
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 21 year experience preferred
- 3Pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
- 4Computer knowledge including Microsoft Windows Word Excel
- 5Ability to read tape measure and blueprints
- 6Dexterity to use hand tools
- 7Effective communication with factory supervision
- 8Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- 9Stand for 75% of shift, occasional climbing of portable ladders
- 10Moderate noise environment with hearing protection requirements
