LPN Nurse, Behavioral Health & Crisis Care (PRN Nights)
Overview
Own clinical support in a crisis recovery center serving individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. You’ll operate under RN supervision within a multidisciplinary team and focus on monitoring, documentation, and safety. This role works two 12 hour night shifts per month at a Peoria AZ site. The environment emphasizes compassionate care, compliance, and patient advocacy. You will contribute to a culture of second chances and community reintegration.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and monitor medication administration records under RN supervision
- 2Design care plans and assist with treatment and discharge planning
- 3Serve as guest advocate by educating on diabetic care and psychiatric medications
- 4Maintain compliance with state regulations and organizational policies
- 5Collaborate with Medical Assistants and other staff to coordinate care and referrals
- 6Collect specimens, arrange lab transport, and contribute to accurate clinical documentation
- 7Support de escalation and crisis intervention as needed
- 8Assist with intake processes and provider appointment coordination
- 9Oversee and document care activities ensuring safety and quality
- 10Participate in ongoing trainings and credentialing requirements
Requirements10
- 1Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- 2Current and valid LPN license
- 3Minimum of one year experience in a behavioral health setting
- 4Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications and interactions
- 5Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and implement behavioral management interventions
- 6Basic computer skills and strong documentation ability
- 7Ability to pass de escalation training and meet state requirements
- 8Willingness to travel based on business needs
- 9Must be 21 years or older in addendum jurisdictions
- 10Must be able to pass comprehensive credentialing and background checks
