Lot Specialist, Automotive Auction Operations
Overview
Own the end-to-end shopper role for designated accounts at ADESA in Auburn. You will oversee pre-sale readiness, coordination of repairs and reconditioning, and day-of sale execution across dealer, commercial, or retail accounts for a high-volume auction environment. This position collaborates with operations, customers, and vendors to ensure vehicles meet auction standards at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Build customer liaison processes between auction operations and clients to ensure smooth pre-sale quality checks
- 2Oversee reconditioning by coordinating PDR or glass repair based on account criteria to achieve sale readiness
- 3Review and write repair orders and coordinate repairs with external shops
- 4Assist with inventory management by locating, labeling, and moving vehicles while verifying VIN, make, year, and mileage
- 5Track missing units and help locate vehicles for customers
- 6Tag and organize lots with numbers and stickers, and stage units for sale
- 7Coordinate sale day lane activities to drive an efficient auction experience
- 8Perform basic diagnostic determinations to decide whether a vehicle should move to the Mechanic Shop
- 9Conduct final quality checks with customer representatives before the sale
- 10Use electronic devices to scan inventory, record movements, and capture vehicle photos as needed
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred
- 2Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
- 3Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
- 4Automotive or auction experience preferred
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and applications
