Lifeguard Position YMCA Contract

The Lifeguard oversees participant safety during recreational fitness and instructional swimming at the YMCA of the Suncoast Greater Palm Harbor Branch. Responsibilities include direct supervision and adherence to safety protocols.

You own the safety of every swimmer in the YMCA Metuchen-Edison pool, using CPR, First Aid, and AED skills to prevent and respond to emergencies. You work under the Aquatic Director, patrolling the deck and enforcing rules to keep a family-friendly environment secure. This role demands constant alertness and quick action, with training in OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens protocols. You'll join a team that values reliability and professional conduct, where every shift directly impacts member well-being.

You will own pool safety for afternoon shifts at the Butler County Family YMCA, safeguarding swimmers in a high-traffic aquatic environment. You will join a team of certified lifeguards and aquatic staff, reporting to the Aquatics Director. Every shift, you will apply CPR/AED and First Aid skills to prevent emergencies and respond decisively. This role stands apart: you will be the first line of defense for member safety, with full support for certification and training.
