Overview
Launch Math + Science Centers seeks a motivated Lead STEM Instructor to lead afterschool programs in NYC. This Player-Coach role offers visibility and management experience. The ideal candidate will supervise programs and support staff while ensuring smooth daily operations.
What You'll Do7
- 1Review daily rosters and set up technology for each session
- 2Organize math assignments and STEM class materials
- 3Manage student check-in/out process and serve as parent liaison
- 4Lead math enrichment and STEM classes for Pre-K to 8th grade
- 5Act as first responder for site needs and escalate issues
- 6Maintain clean professional environment at the center
- 7Drive program success through engaging and entertaining activities
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Education completed or in progress
- 21+ year experience working with children in tutoring or classroom settings
- 3Previous experience as Head Counselor or Lead Tutor preferred
- 4Proficiency with technology tools for tracking student progress
- 5High energy punctual multitasker with strong organizational skills
Salary Insight
$22 - $28k per year
