Lead a team of educators and counselors to deliver magical camp days, combining hands-on robotics, coding, and woodworking with exceptional family care. This role drives operational excellence, from daily schedules to parent communication, and includes 5+ years of teaching leadership. It is a contract position designed to prepare you for high-level educational leadership, with training in STEM topics and a pathway to year-round roles.
What You'll Do7
- 1Coach and train a team of counselors, mentoring them to grasp the purpose behind each activity and implement safety protocols for a fun, secure environment.
- 2Build strong, supportive relationships with campers and families, enhancing their overall experience through daily check-ins and proactive communication.
- 3Manage all physical aspects of camp operations, coordinating materials, facilities, and schedules to ensure seamless daily flow.
- 4Maintain accurate administrative records for attendance, incidents, and compliance, updating them daily to support data-informed decisions.
- 5Step in to lead camp activities or classes when coverage is needed, delivering high-energy, engaging lessons in robotics, coding, and woodworking.
- 6Drive a culture of growth by fostering a collaborative, empathetic team environment that supports each educator's professional development.
- 7Oversee daily camp flow, from 7:30 AM arrival to dismissal, ensuring every hour is purposeful and joyful for campers ages 3–12.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of experience teaching children ages 3–12 in any subject, with STEM curriculum experience preferred.
- 2Proven experience managing and coaching a team of 4+ teachers, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
- 3A track record of building strong, professional relationships with families in a camp or educational setting.
- 4A distinct willingness to learn, adapt, and quickly adopt new technologies and operational skills.
