Overview
You will own daily dispatch operations for an Amazon Delivery Service Partner, directing a team of drivers and coordinating fleet maintenance across a 24/7 delivery network. Amazon DSP workflows anchor your role, with Google Documents tracking coaching and MS Excel managing performance metrics. What You'll Do7
- 1Dispatch drivers for daily routes, adjusting assignments in real time to meet delivery deadlines
- 2Coach team members on safety and delivery metrics, documenting sessions in Google Documents
- 3Screen, schedule, interview, and hire new drivers, then run orientations and in-route training
- 4Collaborate with the fleet manager on repairs and preventive care, stepping in during their absence
- 5Lead safety meetings and conduct audits to ensure compliance with Amazon's weekly scorecard
- 6Track fleet service status and report updates to leadership, building action plans from safety data
- 7Communicate with vendors to schedule maintenance and keep the fleet road-worthy
Requirements7
- 14+ years as a full-time manager or team lead
- 24+ years demonstrating dispatch, coaching, and fleet knowledge
- 3Valid driver's license in good standing
- 4Familiarity with computer-aided diagnostic programs, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 5High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6Eligible to work in the U.S., at least 21 years old
- 7Knowledge of fleet vehicle maintenance and repair
