What You'll Do10
- 1Load your delivery van each day, organizing packages by route sequence to maximize efficiency.
- 2Drive a 10,000 lb or lighter van through city streets and residential areas, obeying all traffic laws.
- 3Deliver packages to doorsteps, climbing stairs, navigating driveways, and working in all weather conditions.
- 4Scan packages with your handheld device at each stop, updating delivery status in real time.
- 5Follow Amazon's strict safety standards on and off the road, including seatbelt use and proper lifting.
- 6Communicate with supervisors and dispatchers via the handheld device to report issues or request help.
- 7Participate in rescue calls by assisting teammates who fall behind on their routes.
- 8Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers with a positive attitude and handling delivery exceptions.
- 9Complete daily administrative tasks: clock in/out, record mileage, and submit delivery logs.
- 10Support the team by helping with load-out and van organization at the start of each shift.
Requirements9
- 1Be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license in the state of employment (CDL not required).
- 2Ability to read and speak English for safety and communication purposes.
- 3Operate and navigate a delivery van weighing 10,000 lbs or less, no personal vehicle needed.
- 4Move boxes up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- 5Pass a 4-Panel Drug Screening as a condition of employment.
- 6Work 4-5 days per week, with shifts up to 10 hours in length, including weekends.
- 7Comfortable using a handheld device for GPS navigation, scanning, and communication.
- 8Have a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support team members in daily tasks.
- 9No previous work experience required; on-the-job training provided.
