Overview
As Operations Manager at Auto Driveaway, you own dispatch operations at our Sandy, UT location, coordinating a fleet of professional drivers and a national network of service providers. You will manage every active vehicle service through a Cloud-Based ERP, ensuring 100% system updates and direct client communication. This role sits at the hub of a leading national provider serving corporate fleets, dealerships, and OEMs, where your decisions on driver assignments and service quality directly impact on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. You will also handle title and registration duties at DMV locations and enforce FMCSR compliance, making this a hands-on, multi-faceted leadership position.
What You'll Do10
- 1Motivate a staff of professional drivers and office personnel, setting a safety-first culture.
- 2Evaluate incoming and departing vehicles, identifying defects and requesting approvals for Auto Detail, Preventative Maintenance, or Body Repair services.
- 3Track and manage all active vehicle services through the Cloud-Based ERP, ensuring real-time status updates.
- 4Manage and maintain relationships with vehicle service providers to uphold quality outcomes.
- 5Complete title and registration services at DMV locations for Auto Driveaway and clients.
- 6Evaluate pickup and delivery requests, assigning drivers based on client needs and availability.
- 7Analyze client orders and driver capacity to plan and execute efficient dispatch schedules.
- 8Maintain 100% update accuracy in internal systems, ensuring seamless customer communication.
- 9Resolve problematic conditions affecting service levels and coordinate delivery times to guarantee satisfaction.
- 10Develop action plans with drivers to reduce service failures and improve efficiency, while ensuring compliance with FMCSR and local regulations.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in logistics or operations management, with a focus on dispatch or fleet coordination.
- 2Strong management and human relations skills, with the ability to motivate and direct diverse teams.
- 3Proven ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and complete assignments thoroughly under pressure.
- 4Solid understanding of customer service delivery techniques and problem-solving methods.
- 5Experience with Cloud-Based ERP systems for tracking services and managing workflows.
- 6Knowledge of FMCSR regulations and state/local compliance for dispatch operations.
- 7Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year for company meetings.
- 8Valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company and client vehicles as needed.
