IT Business Analyst, M365 & Infrastructure
Overview
As an IT Business Analyst, you will own the discovery and delivery of infrastructure projects across Networking, Server, Workstation Services, O365, VoIP, and Service Center teams. You will partner with global stakeholders to translate complex requirements into executable plans from day one. Your work directly shapes the reliability and scalability of enterprise systems. What You'll Do7
- 1Elicit business needs through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Jira-backed requirement sessions
- 2Analyze current workflows on M365, Active Directory, and service desk platforms to identify gaps
- 3Specify functional and non-functional requirements for Azure, AWS, and on-premise infrastructure projects
- 4Validate proposed solutions against business objectives and infrastructure architecture standards
- 5Own the requirement traceability matrix from discovery to deployment, ensuring no critical need is missed
- 6Deliver process maps, use cases, and Visio diagrams that executives and engineers both understand
- 7Facilitate sign-off cycles with stakeholders across IT and business units, securing approvals within agreed timelines
Requirements8
- 13+ years as a business analyst or systems analyst on infrastructure-focused projects
- 2Hands-on experience with M365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- 3Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- 4Familiarity with server technologies, Windows Server, Linux, and VMware
- 5Proven track record of eliciting requirements in VoIP and telecom environments
- 6Exposure to Service Center tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
- 7Excellent communication skills to bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- 8Ability to work onsite in Detroit, Michigan for the duration of the contract
