Overview

Own and lead a statewide investigations program within the Office of Child Welfare Investigations and ensure adherence to joint investigation protocols at OCWI. Manage a team of Child Welfare Investigators conducting criminal investigations with a focus on high profile, complex cases. Provide clinical supervision, authorize court reports, and oversee case closures. Travel for state business and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to drive accountability and safety for Arizona’s children.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead and supervise CWI investigations to ensure quality and thoroughness
  • 2Assign investigation reports and monitor case activity across the unit
  • 3Provide clinical supervision and approve court reports and dependency petitions
  • 4Drive participation in management, TDM, and fatality review meetings
  • 5Attend high profile staffing and multi-disciplinary meetings and coordinate state business travel
  • 6Conduct evaluations and training for CWI staff and maintain on-call coverage
  • 7Maintain up-to-date records and analytics on investigations
  • 8Develop and implement strategic plans for complex service programs

Requirements5

  • 1Two years of experience as an OCWI Investigator or OCWI Assistant Manager with strong understanding of child welfare investigations
  • 2Two years as a DCS Supervisor in an Investigations unit with strong understanding of joint investigation protocol
  • 3Ability to drive for state business and meet driving requirements
  • 4Must obtain and maintain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass DCS Central Registry checks
  • 5Proficiency in executive communication, conflict resolution, and multidisciplinary collaboration
