Overview

Lead investigations to provide critical information to CLC Attorneys about clients. Conduct visits across diverse settings to assess home conditions health safety developmental progress medical educational needs and family relationships. Develop trust with children of varied backgrounds and advocate for their well-being.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Visit homes schools hospitals and other locations to gather detailed client information
  • 2Interview caretakers and children to document living situations emotional wellbeing and service gaps
  • 3Evaluate and recommend necessary services for children and families
  • 4Identify community resources and make appropriate referrals
  • 5Assist attorneys with client interviews and case management
  • 6Serve as duty day Investigator handling daily client interactions
  • 7Communicate regularly with attorneys and relevant stakeholders about caseload updates
  • 8Attend IEP meetings TDM sessions DCFS staffing hospital screenings and regional center conferences
  • 9Manage caseload scheduling and coordinate client appointment logistics
  • 10Exercise discretion and independent judgment during meetings and hearings
  • 11Stay informed about evolving social dynamics to improve client engagement

Requirements7

  • 1AA degree or 60 college units plus 2 years direct child-related experience
  • 2Valid California driver’s license reliable vehicle and auto insurance
  • 3Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • 4Strong written communication skills for report preparation
  • 5Cultural sensitivity and awareness for effective advocacy
  • 6Effective verbal and written communication with children teens families and caregivers
  • 7Commitment to continuous learning and adaptation
