Case Worker Child Welfare
Overview
Denver Human Services seeks committed Social Case Workers to serve Child Welfare Services clients. The ideal candidate has knowledge of intake or permanency child protection work and performs duties in both disciplines. This role impacts diverse populations throughout the Denver Metro Area.
What You'll Do7
- 1Investigate new allegations of abuse/neglect of children ages 0-18 in a fast-paced demanding environment
- 2Contact families and conduct interviews on behalf of the child while maintaining professional contacts with community leaders and law enforcement
- 3Develop and implement treatment plans providing counseling referrals and placement services
- 4Evaluate client needs and review case records to develop appropriate service strategies
- 5Represent the department according to city rules and prepare case notes and reports
- 6Testify in court as needed providing expert testimony and comprehensive reports
- 7Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bilingual proficiency with stipend available upon hire
- 3Valid driver’s license at time of application
- 4Post-hire completion of Child Welfare or Adult Protective Services certification
- 5Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 college-level credit hours related to child welfare social casework
- 6Strong self-starter and organizational skills
- 7Superior critical thinking and time management abilities
- 8Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- 9Ability to represent the organization in multiple settings
- 10Positive professional attitude
- 11Experience in human services preferred
