Assistant Case Manager, Case Aide (DCS)
Overview
Assist children and families under the direction of a Case Manager across multiple Arizona locations. Engage with multidisciplinary teams to provide direct services, coordinate transportation, and support court appearances. This role emphasizes compassionate communication, attention to detail, and collaboration within a state social services department.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build trusting relationships with children, parents, and caregivers and collaborate with service providers to support safety and permanency goals
- 2Schedule appointments, coordinate services, and document client interactions to ensure accurate case management records
- 3Transport clients to appointments and ensure proper use of child safety seats
- 4Attend court hearings and required meetings to represent and support the family in the case process
- 5Provide clerical support such as data entry, file maintenance, and document preparation to maintain organized case files
- 6Support parent-child visits and supervise visits as directed by the Case Manager
- 7Maintain professional relationships with team members and contribute to a team-centered approach
- 8Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and mobile technology to communicate and document work
- 9Demonstrate compassionate communication and active listening when supporting families
- 10Follow safety practices for transporting clients and ensure driving eligibility and compliance
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Valid driver’s license and satisfactory 39 month driving record
- 3Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 4Must complete Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
- 5This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle to conduct State business
- 6Knowledge areas include basic principles of human and social services and child welfare concepts
