Inventory Management Analyst at Toyota Automated Logistics
Overview
This role owns inventory control and cost analytics for Toyota Automated Logistics, a global warehouse automation provider. You will ensure accurate inventory valuation, product costing, and financial transparency across the organization. Working with Supply Operations and Accounting, you will maintain data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the chance to drive process improvements and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Monitor inventory balances, transactions, and aging to support accuracy and proper valuation.
- 2Investigate reconciliation variances between the operational system and financial records, partnering with Supply Operations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- 3Support cycle counts and physical inventories, analyze results, and report findings.
- 4Maintain inventory controls to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- 5Support standard cost maintenance, cost updates, and product cost roll-ups using ERP systems.
- 6Assess inventory impacts on COGS, margins, and working capital, and provide insights for decision-making.
- 7Automate and maintain inventory and cost reports, KPIs (inventory turns, accuracy, excess/obsolete, variances) using Excel and data analysis tools.
- 8Deliver timely and accurate analysis to stakeholders across Supply Operations, Finance, and leadership.
- 9Drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, cost visibility, and process efficiency by developing electronic workflows.
- 10Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize processes and support system enhancements.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 22+ years of experience in inventory management, cost analytics, or cost accounting.
- 3Strong understanding of inventory control concepts and accounting principles.
- 4Experience working with ERP systems and inventory modules.
- 5Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
- 6Ability to work with a diverse group of peers in a manufacturing environment.
- 7Strong work ethic, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to the business.
- 8Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
- 9Travel up to 5% for site visits and training.
