Cost Accounting Manager, Inventory Control
Overview
Arclin seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to own inventory governance across 30+ global manufacturing sites. You will drive inventory accuracy, control effectiveness, and cycle count programs while supporting cost accounting. This role bridges Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, reporting to the Director of Global Inventory and Cost Accounting. You will standardize processes, eliminate duplication, and enhance reporting quality for decision-making. The position offers hybrid work in Alpharetta, GA, and direct impact on mission-critical materials.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement inventory control policies and governance standards across all manufacturing and warehouse locations, ensuring compliance with SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
- 2Lead cycle count and physical inventory programs, monitoring accuracy metrics and coordinating root-cause analysis for variances, using Excel and business reporting tools.
- 3Develop standardized inventory reporting packages for Finance, Operations, and Cost Accounting, including aging analysis, cycle count performance, and slow-moving inventory dashboards.
- 4Drive corrective actions for control gaps identified by Internal Audit, External Audit, and Operations, supporting CPA-led audits and control testing.
- 5Manage inventory reconciliations and support month-end closing, including standard cost maintenance and inventory valuation controls.
- 6Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to enhance ERP systems for improved inventory visibility and efficiency.
- 7Lead training to ensure consistent execution of inventory control procedures, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- 8Support inventory reserve analyses and obsolescence reviews, providing actionable insights based on inventory trends.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in inventory control, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or supply chain finance.
- 22+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- 3Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred.
- 4Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 5Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles, costing methodologies, and internal controls.
- 6Proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
- 7Experience with SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards ERP systems.
- 8Demonstrated experience establishing controls, improving processes, and driving inventory accuracy initiatives.
- 9Ability to influence across functional teams and balance operational support with financial governance.
