Senior Accountant, Manufacturing & Inventory
Overview
Own the full accounting cycle for a growing manufacturing finance team in Kennesaw, GA. You will manage accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory valuation while ensuring accurate general ledger activity and timely financial reporting. Partner with the Controller and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation. What You'll Do10
- 1Manage accounts payable functions, including new vendor setup, invoice processing, and vendor payments.
- 2Ensure customer receivable accounts are accurate and financial risk is minimized through daily monitoring.
- 3Oversee accurate and timely processing of company expenses, enforcing policy compliance.
- 4Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- 5Partner with departments to provide financial guidance and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
- 6Maintain and monitor inventory valuation accuracy, reconciling counts and cost adjustments.
- 7Develop and implement new accounting procedures, processes, and internal controls.
- 8Prepare recurring financial and analytical reports for management, highlighting trends and variances.
- 9Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, meeting tight deadlines.
- 10Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, plus year-end audit schedules.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- 3Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- 4Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data manipulation.
- 5Experience with ERP systems and accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle.
- 6Ability to analyze and manipulate large volumes of financial data with high accuracy.
- 7Strong project management and organizational skills, managing multiple priorities.
- 8Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- 9Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based business environment is a plus.
