Overview

What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee standard cost calculations aligned with bill of materials and routing information
- 2Analyze material labor and overhead variances with detailed management explanations
- 3Develop inventory valuation methodologies including cycle counting and physical procedures
- 4Prepare monthly quarterly and annual cost of goods sold reports
- 5Partner with production supply chain and R&D teams to uncover cost drivers
- 6Participate in budgeting and forecasting for cost of goods sold and inventory
- 7Ensure GAAP compliance and internal accounting policy adherence
- 8Implement internal controls over inventory and cost accounting processes
- 9Support financial audits with cost accounting documentation
- 10Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by senior management
- 11Drive continuous improvement initiatives within cost accounting
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 2Minimum 2-3 years progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing
- 3Strong GAAP and cost accounting principle understanding
- 4General ERP system knowledge
- 5Advanced Excel proficiency
- 6Proven ability to analyze complex financial data
- 7Leadership and communication skills
- 8Ability to work independently and in teams
- 9Experience in life sciences cost accounting preferred
- 10ERP proficiency SAP Oracle
