Insurance Defense Attorney, Litigation & Trial Experience

You will own a diverse insurance defense caseload from filing through trial, with direct client and carrier contact from day one. What You'll Do7
- 1Manage a caseload of 30-50 active insurance defense files from intake to resolution
- 2Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment and motions to dismiss
- 3Take and defend depositions in Texas state courts and federal courts
- 4Attend hearings, mediations, and status conferences, representing clients before judges and arbitrators
- 5Communicate with clients, carriers, and claims adjusters to align on case strategy and budgets
- 6Conduct legal research and write demand letters, pleadings, and discovery responses
- 7Collaborate with senior partners to develop trial strategy and prepare for trial
Requirements7
- 13-10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense
- 2Active Texas Bar license in good standing
- 3Strong legal writing and analytical skills, demonstrated through motion practice
- 4Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- 5Experience with Westlaw or LexisNexis for legal research
- 6Trial experience is a plus, including second-chair or first-chair roles
- 7Familiarity with civil procedure and evidence rules in Texas
