What You'll Do9

  • 1Own a caseload of personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • 2Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests in Texas state and federal courts.
  • 3Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • 4Prepare for and attend mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
  • 5Develop case strategy and counsel clients on legal options, risks, and outcomes.
  • 6Represent clients at hearings, trials, and oral arguments.
  • 7Manage deadlines, court filings, and case calendars using Microsoft Office and case management software.
  • 8Negotiate settlements and prepare settlement agreements, releases, and related documents.
  • 9Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case progression.

Requirements8

  • 13+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, either plaintiff or defense.
  • 2Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 3Trial experience preferred, including depositions, motions, and court appearances.
  • 4Strong legal research and writing skills, with proficiency in Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • 5Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
  • 6Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving caseload.
  • 7Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • 8Willingness to work onsite in Dallas and collaborate with the team.
