What You'll Do10

  • 1Manage a personal injury docket from filing to resolution, including trial preparation and court appearances.
  • 2Develop case strategy and move cases forward with proactive steps.
  • 3Conduct discovery, prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • 4Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
  • 5Attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings, presenting arguments and evidence.
  • 6Prepare cases for trial, including witness lists, exhibits, and trial briefs, and participate in trials when necessary.
  • 7Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and witnesses to advance case objectives.
  • 8Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, investigators, and experts to build strong cases.
  • 9Identify opportunities to increase settlement value and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • 10Meet deadlines and maintain organized case files across multiple matters.

Requirements9

  • 1J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 2Active Texas Bar license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 31+ years experience in personal injury litigation or a strong interest in the field.
  • 4Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload and meet deadlines.
  • 5Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with comfort in court appearances.
  • 6Experience taking and defending depositions in personal injury matters.
  • 7Proven ability to develop case strategy and move cases toward resolution.
  • 8Excellent client communication skills, including managing expectations and providing updates.
  • 9Willingness to work on-site in Dallas and handle trial preparation and participation.
