Instructional Assistant at Ashland Ranch Elementary, 9 Month Role
Overview
The Instructional Assistant will support certificated teachers by working with students in small groups and individually to reinforce learning objectives at Ashland Ranch Elementary. This onsite role assists with lesson delivery, classroom organization, and clerical tasks to maintain accurate student records. You will collaborate with the school team to promote a safe positive learning environment and help students reach their academic goals.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and implement instructional activities and reinforce concepts in small groups or one on one with students
- 2Design and deliver supports aligned to lesson plans to improve student outcomes
- 3Maintain classroom equipment, student files, and instructional materials to ensure availability and accuracy
- 4Monitor students in classrooms, on the playground, and other settings to sustain a safe learning environment
- 5Perform general clerical tasks and record keeping to support teachers and staff
- 6Attend meetings and in service sessions to stay informed about job functions
- 7Assist other personnel as needed to support workflow and school operations
- 8Promote good study habits and student development during everyday activities
- 9Support students with reading, math, and basic school routines
- 10Follow all district policies and administrative guidelines to ensure compliance
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or equivalent
- 2Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3Ability to read and write at a basic level and perform arithmetic calculations
- 4Experience with routine classroom tasks and supporting students preferred
- 5Ability to work with individual or small groups under supervision
