Overview

Lead comprehensive health wellness preventive and medical care for adults and children at Kedren Community Health Center under Chief Medical Officer. Provide optimal care for vulnerable patients including acute chronic and preventive services while following policies and quality improvement standards. Collaborate with providers non-medical staff and engage in quality assurance initiatives.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Build and manage chronic disease programs ensuring high-quality care and health education
  • 2Design and lead preventive care initiatives for diverse patient populations
  • 3Prescribe medications and evaluate treatment effectiveness based on diagnostic results
  • 4Coordinate medical care across specialties and maintain compliance with FQHC grant requirements
  • 5Supervise clinical professionals and students providing training in health maintenance and emergency care
  • 6Conduct medical visits for at least 20 patients daily and investigate new procedures
  • 7Analyze data to improve service delivery and participate in quality improvement projects
  • 8Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks and ensure cultural linguistic responsiveness
  • 9Develop clinical protocols and policies in partnership with Chief Medical Officer and QM department
  • 10Assess patient needs and refer appropriate consultations to optimize outcomes
  • 11Ensure adherence to Medicare Medi-Cal and other federal program regulations

Requirements10

  • 1MD degree and valid California medical license with no disciplinary actions
  • 2Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • 3Current DEA and BCLS certifications
  • 4Clinical experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers or medically underserved settings
  • 5Proven leadership in medical administration utilization review and quality management
  • 6Familiarity with meaningful use indicators and PCMH certification processes
  • 7Experience with electronic health records especially eClinicalWorks
  • 8Eligibility for Medicare Medi-Cal F-Pact and other federal programs
  • 9National Provider Identification number and valid CPR certificate
  • 10On-call availability by phone required
