Industrial Electrician, Chemical Plant Maintenance & Safety
Overview
Industrial Electrician leads electrical troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and installations at a Pasadena chemical plant impacting reliability and safety. You will work with conduit, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and high voltage systems in a multi-shift environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and install conduits and electrical systems across the facility including motors, transformers, and lighting
- 2Read, design, and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs
- 3Maintain electrical inventory and coordinate with vendors to ensure parts availability
- 4Conduct LOTO procedures and support safety compliance for all maintenance activities
- 5Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on MCC, VFDs, PLCs, pumps, gear boxes, and valves
- 6Repair and rebuild equipment such as gear boxes, pumps, valves, and boiler related components
- 7Lead shop activities, train new hires, and ensure quality workmanship meets productivity standards
- 8Document labor hours, materials, and work details in computer maintenance management systems
- 9Perform audits and inspections on a defined schedule (daily to annual) and provide condition feedback
- 10Maintain readiness as Hazmat Operations-level responder and operate in varied environments
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical electrical certification preferred
- 2Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- 3Proficient in conduit installation, electrical troubleshooting, and high/low-voltage systems
- 4Fluent with CMMS software and Microsoft Office
- 5Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions
- 6Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts)
- 7Hands-on with hand and power tools and technically inclined
- 8Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers and coworkers
- 9Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- 10On-site availability with overtime and on-call as required
