Facilities Electrician, Industrial Maintenance & Cleanroom Systems
Overview
The Facilities Electrician will own the electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facility and utility systems supporting manufacturing operations at scale. You will monitor cleanrooms, emergency systems, and production-support infrastructure to uphold safe, reliable operation. Collaborate with facilities teams and vendors to execute preventive maintenance and rapid response to alarms. This role stands out through exposure to critical production environments and a contract-to-hire pathway.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform commercial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting with a focus on reliability
- 2Design and inspect electrical rooms, panels, and backup power systems to ensure safe operation
- 3Repair and maintain lighting systems and support infrastructure to minimize downtime
- 4Complete work orders and update maintenance records to track performance
- 5Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards across facilities
- 6Coordinate with vendors and contractors for parts, services, and projects
- 7Maintain inventory and order supplies to prevent part shortages
- 8Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs to support operations
- 9Engage in preventive maintenance and industrial electrical troubleshooting in production environments
- 10Respond to off-hours alarms and emergency calls to protect ongoing operations
Requirements7
- 15+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- 2Electrician skills related to panels and systems
- 3Experience with electrical troubleshooting, conduit bending, and power distribution
- 4Knowledge of motors, electrical panels, breakers, and lighting systems
- 5Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- 6Familiarity with building automation/control systems such as switches, touchscreens, VFDs, and PLCs
- 7Onsite role in Sugar Land, TX with willingness to respond to off-hour emergencies
