Industrial Automation Project Manager, PLC & SCADA Systems
Overview
Own the delivery of transformative automation projects across a national network of medical waste processing facilities. You will lead greenfield and brownfield initiatives from concept through commissioning, driving operational excellence and digital transformation. Partner with engineering, operations, and technology vendors to deploy cutting-edge PLC, SCADA, robotics, HMI, and IIoT solutions. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, and optimization.
- 2Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations to ensure on-time delivery.
- 3Oversee implementation of PLC, SCADA, robotics, HMI, and IIoT platforms across multiple facilities.
- 4Travel to U.S. sites to support project execution, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- 5Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to deliver practical, scalable solutions.
- 6Manage external system integrators, OEMs, and technology partners to ensure quality and safety.
- 7Lead technical reviews, governance meetings, and project workshops to drive alignment.
- 8Support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and operational handover activities.
- 9Drive automation standardization, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements9
- 18+ years of experience delivering industrial automation, engineering, or capital projects.
- 2Strong experience with PLC and SCADA systems, ideally including Siemens, Rockwell Automation, and/or Schneider Electric platforms.
- 3Proven success managing automation projects in manufacturing, process industries, waste management, or complex industrial environments.
- 4Experience managing system integrators, OEMs, contractors, and multi-vendor project teams.
- 5Knowledge of electrical and control systems design principles.
- 6Hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup experience.
- 7Strong understanding of industrial safety, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- 9Willingness to travel regularly across the United States.
