Systems Engineer, PLC & SCADA Automation
Overview
You will design, program, and commission real-time automation systems for Fortune 100 manufacturers, from plant floor PLCs to enterprise SCADA platforms. Work with Rockwell, Siemens, and Wonderware in a collaborative engineering team tackling complex integrations. This role spans 3-5 years of hands-on experience with automation controls, offering mentorship and project ownership from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions for client manufacturing processes.
- 2Design system architectures during the project concept phase, selecting appropriate PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
- 3Program, debug, and test PLC logic using Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or Modicon platforms.
- 4Develop HMI and SCADA applications for operator interfaces using Wonderware or Inductive Automation.
- 5Commission new solutions at client sites, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
- 6Create project documentation including engineering notes, proposals, and design traceability records.
- 7Design and validate Ethernet networks with EthernetIP or Profibus for real-time control.
- 8Mentor junior engineers in automation best practices and share expertise across projects.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of hands-on experience with PLC platforms like Rockwell or Siemens.
- 2B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3Proven ability to program HMI and SCADA systems such as Wonderware or Rockwell.
- 4Practical knowledge of Ethernet networking, including EthernetIP and Profibus.
- 5Experience with Python, PI System historian, or databases is a plus.
- 6Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for travel.
- 7Willingness to travel 30-50% within the USA for client site commissioning.
- 8Meticulous and analytical approach to problem-solving with strong communication skills.
