ICU Float Pool RN, Critical Care Nurse
Overview
You will own patient care across ICU, ED, and Med/Surg units at Woodland Memorial Hospital and other Dignity Health facilities in Sacramento. As a Float Pool RN, you will adapt to varied critical care settings, monitor complex physiological changes, and intervene to stabilize patients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver consistent, compassionate care. Your RN license and ACLS certification will be essential in this role, which demands clinical judgment and flexibility. This position offers exposure to diverse units and a supportive health system.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assess, plan, and deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients across ICU, ED, and Med/Surg units.
- 2Adapt rapidly to different ICU settings, leveraging BLS and ACLS protocols to stabilize patients.
- 3Monitor and interpret complex physiological changes, adjusting care plans in real time.
- 4Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to coordinate patient care.
- 5Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- 6Float to assigned units within Woodland Memorial and other Dignity Health hospitals as needed.
- 7Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- 8Respond to emergencies with timely interventions, prioritizing patient safety.
Requirements7
- 1Associates Degree in Nursing or higher
- 2Active RN license in California
- 32+ years of ICU nursing experience
- 4BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 5ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 6Ability to work in ICU, ED, and Med/Surg units
- 7Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
