HVAC Control Systems Engineer
Overview
Lead design configuration and operation of complete building control systems focusing on HVAC Controls to meet project requirements. Responsible for coordinating field teams ensuring quality timeliness and efficiency. Develops software programs commissions and troubleshoots systems. Provides detailed information and submittals to customers consultants Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors.
What You'll Do15
- 1Designs and configures technically complex building control systems as defined by contract documents
- 2Creates flow diagrams sequence of operations bill of material network layouts and electrical schematics
- 3Develops and tests software programs necessary to operate the system as per project requirements
- 4Coordinates creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
- 5Selects orders and tracks delivery of materials for assigned projects
- 6Assists in loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers
- 7Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades
- 8Provides field change information to project team for creation of as-built drawings and software
- 9Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
- 10Collects and inputs data to track project progress using collaborative dashboards
- 11Assists in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on total building control system
- 12Participates in release meeting with project field team
- 13Performs value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction
- 14Coordinates with project owners to determine engineering and field execution task responsibilities
- 15May provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants and other assigned project resources

- 15+ years building automation systems experience
- 2Spark and Airflow proficiency
- 3BacNet protocol knowledge
- 4Commercial HVAC Controls technician engineer installer experience
- 5Advanced computer skills particularly drafting tools
