Controls System Designer
Overview
Design and program HVAC control systems for Johnson Controls. Own hardware designs and software programming to meet project requirements. Communicate design and operation to stakeholders. Ensure proper system functionality through troubleshooting and coordination.
What You'll Do9
- 1Select hardware designs from standard library for flow diagrams and network layouts
- 2Program software using established design standards
- 3Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals
- 4Track material delivery and coordinate factory mounting processes
- 5Assist in loading and commissioning system controllers
- 6Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors
- 7Create as-built drawings and documentation for installed systems
- 8Provide site-specific training for owners and operators
- 9Maintain safety standards throughout project execution
Requirements7
- 1Minimum three years installing commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems
- 2Working knowledge of Metasys Tools: RAC schedule CCT SCT Visio
- 3Mechanical electrical and control systems expertise
- 4Advanced computer skills especially drafting tools
- 5Associates or Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields
- 6Experience with HVAC control systems installation or commissioning
- 7Preference for candidates with prior experience in similar roles
