Overview
Controls Systems Technician at Johnson Controls leads system commissioning and troubleshooting for building automation. You will perform assigned system commissioning using configuration tools and resolve basic HVAC mechanical electrical and controls problems. What You'll Do6
- 1Loads system-level controller software and performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices completing all required documentation.
- 2Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment and maintains accurate as-built records.
- 3Completes administrative tasks including time sheets expense reports and on-site documentation.
- 4Documents changes and provides recommendations for facility efficiency including upselling opportunities.
- 5Provides quotes for solutions and communicates with JCI contractors or customers before and after visits.
- 6Follows safety standards and attends required training while ensuring high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Requirements5
- 12-year degree in electronics mechanical systems computer technology air conditioning or similar field or at least 2 years of industry experience in HVAC servicing.
- 2Knowledge of HVAC controls systems facilities management systems site preparation and peripheral equipment installation.
- 3Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally and explain technical information clearly.
- 4Leadership abilities to support mechanics working on non-complex building automation equipment on job sites.
- 5Proficiency with PCs and programming HVAC related software.
