Human Resources Generalist, Manufacturing & Plant Culture
Overview
HR generalist role on-site in a manufacturing plant, owning employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and program administration at scale. You’ll partner with plant leadership to drive culture, compliance, and workforce planning. This position is hands-on, crosses between shop floor and office, and offers a clear growth path into higher HR roles.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build trust with employees and leaders to resolve conflicts and document resolutions
- 2Coach supervisors on performance management and corrective actions to improve outcomes
- 3Own full-cycle recruiting for production, skilled trades, and salaried roles from sourcing to offer
- 4Run onboarding, orientation, and safety training to ensure new hires start strong
- 5Manage benefits enrollment and be the go-to person for insurance questions
- 6Maintain organized HR programs including leaves, compliance training, and personnel records
- 7Analyze HRIS data to identify turnover, attendance, and staffing trends and anticipate needs
- 8Partner with plant leadership on compensation reviews and culture-building initiatives
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2Solid grounding in employment law (FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, workers' compensation)
- 3Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- 4Ability to build trust across all levels from shop floor to front office
- 5Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office
- 6Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information
- 7Flexibility to support different shifts, including nights or weekends as needed
