Human Resources Generalist, Manufacturing & People Ops at West Jordan Plant
Overview
Lead HR support at the West Jordan plant, driving people and culture programs for a multi-site manufacturing team. Own employee relations, engagement, staffing, development, benefits, and HR administration with a focus on fair, timely, and compliant practices. Collaborate with site leaders to cultivate a positive workplace culture and align HR activities with business objectives. This role blends hands-on HR support with strategy to strengthen teamwork and operational excellence.
What You'll Do14
- 1Build trusted partnerships with leaders and team members to address employee needs while reinforcing company values
- 2Provide day-to-day HR support for staffing, employee relations, engagement, development, attendance, and performance management
- 3Maintain a visible plant presence to understand operational and employee needs and proactively improve engagement and culture
- 4Guide leaders on employee relations, policies, performance management, and effective leadership practices
- 5Support leaders in driving team engagement and accountability through programs and collaborations with HR leadership
- 6Coordinate and support benefits administration including enrollments and life events
- 7Maintain accurate employee data and support HRIS and system changes including reporting
- 8Provide general HR administrative support and documentation to support site operations
- 9Assist with site and department needs such as visitor management, inquiries, and communications
- 10Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and corporate policies
- 11Partner with EHS and site leadership to advance health and safety goals and programs
- 12Model and reinforce company leadership traits and values
- 13Demonstrate commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration
- 14Travel minimal, as needed for other company sites
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of 3 years experience in an HR Generalist role or similar work experience
- 2Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- 3Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
- 4Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
- 5Experience with HRIS systems and maintaining employee records preferred
- 6Commitment to integrity and credibility to enable execution and results
- 7Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with HR professionals
- 8Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
- 9Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related field preferred
- 10Travel minimal to other company sites as required
