Human Resources Specialist, Manufacturing & HR Operations
Overview
Own full lifecycle HR in a manufacturing setting with end to end recruitment for hourly and salaried roles at scale. Collaborate with managers to define hiring needs and coordinate interviews. Manage onboarding, records, policy support, and HR reporting while ensuring compliance with employment laws. Contribute to performance management, recognition programs, and exit interviews to support a strong employee experience. This role blends recruiting with HR operations in a fully onsite Indianapolis environment, differentiating by hands on manufacturing workforce focus and data driven HR processes.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead full cycle recruitment for hourly, salaried, seasonal, and professional roles and coordinate interviews to fill openings on time
- 2Screen, interview, and extend offers while maintaining clear communication with candidates and hiring managers
- 3Manage relationships with staffing agencies for temporary workforce needs and ensure alignment with business needs
- 4Oversee onboarding, status changes, records, policy support, and HR documentation with accuracy
- 5Prepare reports and dashboards to guide HR decisions and monitor compliance
- 6Support performance management programs, recognition initiatives, and conduct exit interviews
- 7Partner with managers to define staffing needs and develop sourcing strategies
- 8Maintain strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices in a manufacturing environment
- 9Ensure onsite HR operations run smoothly within 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
- 10Drive continuous process improvements in HR workflows and data integrity
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 23–5 years HR and/or recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- 4Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS/ATS experience preferred
