Human Resources Generalist, Manufacturing
Overview
Play a central role in attracting and retaining top talent at Peterson Farms, a leading food manufacturing company. You own full-cycle recruiting for all positions, from entry-level to exempt, using ADP and the Applicant Tracking System to drive data-backed decisions. You shape the employment brand, train hiring managers, and lead onboarding. This position combines hands-on recruiting with strategic workforce planning, making a direct impact on company culture and performance.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive full lifecycle recruiting for all positions, from sourcing to offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- 2Build and own the Annual Recruiting Plan, using metrics from ADP and the ATS to forecast hiring needs and track performance.
- 3Create compelling job descriptions and postings, collaborating with hiring managers to determine the right posting channels and ensuring ADP records are current.
- 4Screen resumes and conduct behavioral-based interviews, qualifying candidates on skills and salary expectations.
- 5Coordinate search team interviews for exempt roles, managing the offer process, reference checks, and background verifications.
- 6Train hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and legal compliance, and coach employees on company values and policies.
- 7Partner with leadership to align recruiting strategies with organizational goals, and support retention and training initiatives from plant to management level.
- 8Maintain accurate candidate data in the ATS and generate reports to measure recruiting effectiveness and inform decisions.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Social Sciences, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 22-5 years of staffing experience and 1 year of training experience preferred.
- 3Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and present to diverse audiences, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- 4Proven track record of modeling professional behavior and a passion for teaching and coaching others.
- 5Hands-on experience using social media for recruiting, training, and employee engagement.
- 6Prior experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- 7Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is desired.
