Overview

Own HR for a 100-person print and communication technology company as the sole HR leader. You'll drive talent acquisition, total rewards, compliance, and employee relations from the ground up. You'll report to the CEO and collaborate with department heads to shape policy and culture. What You'll Do9

  • 1Design and manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles, from sourcing to offer.
  • 2Administer benefits, 401(k), and leave programs, ensuring accuracy and employee understanding.
  • 3Develop and update HR policies and the employee handbook to reflect current laws and business needs.
  • 4Ensure compliance with EEO, AAP, ADA, FMLA, ACA, and other federal and state regulations.
  • 5Run payroll processing and government reporting, including taxes and wage statements.
  • 6Lead safety programs, including OSHA reporting, workers' compensation claims, and safety training.
  • 7Advise managers on employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
  • 8Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, generating reports as needed.
  • 9Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding to create a seamless employee experience.

Requirements7

  • 17-10 years of HR generalist experience with broad hands-on ownership.
  • 2Expert-level knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and OSHA.
  • 3Proven strength in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • 4Experience administering benefits, 401(k), and workers' compensation.
  • 5Full-cycle recruiting expertise for both exempt and non-exempt roles.
  • 6Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy and training.
  • 7Ability to work onsite in Itasca, IL, Monday through Friday.
