Own recruitment and staffing initiatives within the DBME HR team at the Arizona Department of Economic Security. You will work on moderate difficulty tasks handling sensitive personal information and support a statewide remote work program. You will collaborate with hiring managers, complete background verifications, and coordinate interview processes. This role provides insight into state employment laws, recruitment practices, and process improvement opportunities that impact Arizonans.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Assist in recruitment efforts and complete background checks and references
  • 2Schedule and coordinate interviews with applicants and hiring managers
  • 3Review interview results and assist with outcomes
  • 4Screen applicants and administer examinations to assess candidates
  • 5Provide day-to-day administrative support for the HR Staffing/Recruitment team
  • 6Analyze data and report information to support staffing decisions
  • 7Develop and implement program improvements to reduce turnaround times and streamline processes
  • 8Respond to inquiries and maintain clear, professional communication with applicants and internal partners
  • 9Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a diverse workload
  • 10Support compliance with state and federal employment laws

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field
  • 2Relevant HR Certification
  • 3Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, rules and regulations
  • 4Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft products
  • 5Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and report information
  • 6Strong communication skills and ability to manage priorities
  • 7Background checks and pre-employment requirements compliance
  • 8Ability to work remotely within Arizona based on business needs
  • 9Driver’s license if required for state business
