Overview
As an HSE Student, you will own health, safety, and environment support for PCL Construction projects in Denver, working alongside the district HSE team. You will handle inspections, incident investigations, and new employee orientations, gaining hands-on experience equivalent to an entry-level coordinator. What You'll Do8
- 1Assist site HSE professionals with inspections and incident investigations, documenting findings in project systems.
- 2Orient new employees on safety protocols and OSHA standards, ensuring they understand site-specific risks.
- 3Review and manage safety documents per company and project standards, keeping records accurate and current.
- 4Gather, review, and distribute safety statistics, identifying trends to support proactive measures.
- 5Help develop and implement the project-specific HSE plan, aligning with company policies and OSHA requirements.
- 6Deliver safety programs and orientations to site personnel, reinforcing safe work practices.
- 7Support the HSE team in maintaining compliance with company standards, state regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
- 8Input safety statistics and daily/weekly HSE documentation into the company database, ensuring data integrity.
Requirements7
- 118+ years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 2Available to work full-time in Denver, CO from May to August, with authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
- 3Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- 4Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and construction-related software.
- 5Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard anticipation, identification, and assessment training.
- 6Experience researching and compiling information on occupational health and industrial hygiene policies.
- 7OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour certificate of training preferred.
