We seek a dedicated Housing Specialist to transform lives through compassionate case management and community engagement. You will connect clients with housing assistance programs and provide culturally sensitive support to high-risk populations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assess client needs and develop personalized housing plans aligned with LIHTC and Section 8 resources
- 2Advocate for clients by negotiating with landlords to secure affordable housing while ensuring Fair Housing law compliance
- 3Provide crisis intervention for homelessness and mental health challenges using evidence-based techniques
- 4Maintain detailed case records in OneSite documenting client interactions and service plans
- 5Educate clients on landlord-tenant law and housing rights to promote informed decisions
- 6Collaborate with social service agencies and mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive support
- 7Offer culturally sensitive services to underserved communities while building trust and engagement
- 8Apply proven experience working with housing insecurity in social services or property management
- 9Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and crisis intervention abilities in high-pressure environments
- 10Navigate complex systems involving social services, addiction counseling, and legal housing frameworks
- 11Drive positive change through compassionate service delivery in a faith-based organization
Requirements9
- 15+ years experience building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional teams
- 3Proven success in securing housing through LIHTC and Section 8 programs
- 4Expertise in Fair Housing laws and HUD regulations
- 5Familiarity with OneSite or similar property management tools
- 6Strong knowledge of social service coordination and culturally responsive practices
- 7Certification in BCBA or AWS Certified solutions
- 8Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
- 9Commitment to improving quality of life through evidence-based interventions
