What You'll Do7
- 1Load and unload heavy industrial rollers up to 2,000 lbs using overhead cranes and carts.
- 2Operate honing machines, monitoring performance to hold tolerances as precise as .0005.
- 3Measure parts with micrometers and dial indicators, setting TIR per specifications.
- 4Read work orders, inspection reports, and mechanical blueprints to verify part requirements.
- 5Complete daily production checklists and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- 6Transport large rolls between departments using material handling equipment.
- 7Learn and apply inventory control systems and safe crane operation procedures.
Requirements7
- 11+ years experience in manufacturing or machine operation, familiarity with hand tools required.
- 2Basic math skills for reading measurements and calculating tolerances.
- 3High attention to detail, ability to work with micrometers and tight tolerances.
- 4Valid driver's license required.
- 5Willingness to learn precision measurement, crane operation, and machine processes.
- 6Comfortable lifting and moving heavy materials up to 2,000 lbs with assistance.
